This website is a private site to provide information on how to keep the fishes at the retreat hut healthy and happy!


There are 2 fish ponds in the retreat hut: U-pond and Dorje pond.


This website includes information on how to feed the fishes, how to maintain the fish tank/pond and information on the different types of fishes & water plants.

Purpose

To act as a one-stop site providing all the information that you need to know. It is also to train the students on fish care, in order to slowly generate compassion for others.

These 2 fish ponds have a few statues strategically placed around the pond: Amitabha, Vajrayogini & Shakyamuni. They are there to bless the fishes and to help the fishes gain merit by circumambulating around the holy Buddhas.

Much thanks to the guru who has given me this assignment. I hope that this assignment will continue to generate the merits for an Animal Sanctuary to manifest, as more and more people care for the animals due to Rinpoche kindness.

In addition, during the process of setting up this site, I learned basic knowledge on how to take care of fishes. This is something that I would not have been interested in previously. 

At this important time, I would like to sincerely thank all of the people who has provided me with all sorts of information. They have also given the time & effort to help me.
